Jumping Into Everyday Matters

I joined a group called EveryDay Matters. I hope the group doesn't mind me copying the description here:

Everyday Matters is a friendly community designed to encourage members to expand their creativity. Our main focus is on drawing and creating illustrated journals but we welcome creative people from all disciplines. Our group includes members of all degrees of ability and experience -- from those who have never drawn before to professional illustrators, artists, and teachers.

Although this isn't one of the weekly assignments, I'll post my most recent work, which is a portrait of a friend's dog. This was done in colored pencil.

  3. Wow - you've done a terrific job on this, especially his/her little face and eyes!! Foreshortened perspective is difficult, you've done GOOD!!
You don't have to post EDM challenges in sequence, or at all if you don't want. . . just DO art and post.

  8. Zeke - welcome to EDM - I'm pretty sure there was a challenge to draw a dog or maybe there was one to draw something white or maybe it was something cute -so this would probably qualify for one of them - but it really isn't about the challenges - it is about the journey and maybe along the way you will also grow as an artist - besides you are definitely WELL on your way-- this is a lovely, well done sketch -
